Dan Scully has wanted to be a filmmaker since his earliest memories. His career choices has taken him down another path but his love for telling stories and making movies is stronger than ever. In 2004 Dan paired with a friend of the family to work on video projects. Together Dan and Sherry Teleky Waple, former owner of Golden Horse Productions, created three short films and several business and school projects. Since Golden Horse Productions Dan has continued to work on video projects as a hobby and produced videos for the Dauphin County DA's Office, Reid Elementary School and several sporting videos involving his son.
In 2005 Dan Scully took on his first project as director (and writer, producer, editor and a slew of other responsibilities), T.P. The Story of a Roll. The story was pitched to Dan by his brother, Kevin, recounting events that took place when he moved in with his girlfriend, Sharon. What was to be a short experimental film made by friends over a case of beer turned into a full-fledged, short video project with the help of Sherry.
Today the passion still continues. Dan looks for any opportunity work on video projects, share his experiences on and off the set, and learn more about the business.
Life is short. Tell stories to entertain the people around you while there is still time!
