Double Cross
Cocky young con-artists, Jenn and George have been making all the right moves, breaking the law, and having fun doing it. But one night after making suspiciously light work of a heavy score, they find themselves crossing the line into dangerous territory... in more ways than one... DOUBLE CROSS is an eight minute crime caper about two con artists who bite off more than they can chew.

Sam Bradford is a director, writer and producer born in Pembury, Kent. His first paid job within the industry was as a lighting assistant on CBBC. He went to the University of Greenwich, where he studied Television Production Technology. During his time there, he also studied a term of method acting under Brian Timoney's Actor's Studio to better understand the craft of those he'd work with in the future.
The original concept for the film was to make a movie about two con artists that bite off more than they can chew. That is, of course, a fantastic opportunity for Sam Benjamin and Kyla Frye who came up with the story, to then have real control in orchestrating the journey that our characters might take. The story that we all wanted to create within Double Cross was something that challenged the status quo, demonstrated diversity and equality and yet prove that Britain can serve up Hollywood quality drama.
Double Cross, to me, is unique because it takes place in just one location and as an audience we're thrown into the mix at the most pivotal moment for George and Jenn thus far. Every decision they've made as professional con artists has led them to this room and it's their next move which is make or break.
In a way, Double Cross is a creative collision taking place in this world where sleight of hand is the difference between success or failure. Everything oozes style and sex but there's a real sense of danger which is amplified when our characters have to deal with this conflict between their own human desire for romance and their need for power and success.
