The Flying Game
In a cold Eastern European city, a seven year old boy tries to fix the relationship between himself and his emotionally turbulent mother. Unaware of the greater implications of his actions, the boy skips school and steals from a homeless man to afford buying a balloon for his mother in order to prove that miracles can still happen and even pandas can - and will - fly. Based on a popular slavic children chant - The Flying Game - the film serves as a representation of the importance of the journey, rather than the destination, and deals with difficult topics such as terminal illness through suggestion and the eyes of the children, rather than the harsh reality the adults focus on.
