Recently honored for Outstanding Martial Arts Achievement at the Tropicana Resort and Casino by Action Martial Arts Magazine. A member of the International Sports Hall of Fame (www.sportshof.org), Rob Fletcher has over 30 years in the health fitness and martial arts. Teaching, speaking, promoting and inspiring others to live a positive, healthy, confident and strong lifestyle has always been his passion. He is a single father to a teenage daughter, his pride and joy. Rob is a world-class competitor, certified black belt instructor, self-defense expert who holds multiple martial arts titles, most notably as a member of the 1995 World Champion (WAKO) US Kickboxing Team as well as the 1996 North American Kickboxing Champion. He is long-time performer and competitor at international events such as The Arnold Sports Festival and Olympia Weekend, crushing concrete blocks with his elbows, fists and hands and splintering Louisville Slugger baseball bats with his shins.
In 1992, Rob was given the opportunity to bring martial arts to the forefront of the fitness world beginning at The Arnold Sports Festival. By collaborating with Festival promoter Jim Lorimer, this introduction to the fitness world came to fruition and was a tremendous success. Rob continued his efforts by meeting with the Ultimate Fighting Championships’ (UFC) President Dana White and Vice President Jim Byrne (in addition to Joe and Ben Weider) to successfully bring the UFC to the 2002 Olympia Weekend at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, NV. This event proved to be a quantum leap for the martial arts industry. However, his greatest satisfaction came from teaching and training people and families at his USA Karate and Fitness Center in Naples, Florida where he was always driven by his desire and passion for health and fitness, to make a difference and to have a positive impact on his students. He has inspired thousands of children and adults, teaching the values of martial arts and the benefits of living a healthy, fit lifestyle. Currently, he is working with and training business owners, schoolteachers, corporate executives, celebrities, professional athletes, law enforcement officials, Navy SEALS, Marines - people from all walks of life.
Rob’s journey has also led him to the entertainment industry as an actor and fight choreographer. He has secured numerous roles in television and became a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) with his first featured role in the TV show Acapulco HEAT. As a frequent contributor to numerous publications such as Muscle and Fitness, Muscle and Fitness Hers and SHAPE (as well as celebrity- driven magazines such as Star and OK), Rob provides advice and tips to live a more positive, healthier, fit, confident, active and self-protective lifestyle. He continues his teachings and instruction through seminars, workshops and speaking engagements through his main focus, America's Next Great Trainer (ANGT). Rob’s quest to impact people's lives and to inspire endures and is now seeking to reach a larger audience through a variety of programs and platforms which will fall under the ANGT umbrella: radio, television, ANGT TV, ANGT Youth Fitness & Empowerment Programs, America's next Great Trainer, Challenge, ANGT Ultimate Superstar Challenge (USC), ANGT Transformational Challenge and the ANGT Health, Fitness & Wellness EXPO.
Rob is also very dedicated to various national and local charities and organizations such as the Shelter for Abused Women, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the American Heart Association, Colleen Giblin Foundation, Autism Awareness, Relay for Life, Inner City Youth Program - Harlem NY, and the Boys & Girls Club among many others.
It is the mission of ANGT, America's Next Great Trainer to emphasize the role of trainers, coaches and instructors in our society. There are 2 critical issues we face today "obesity and bullying" Trainers have the passion, knowledge, skills and ability to; educate, motivate, inspire, empower and transform lives across America. ANGT will utilize a variety of platforms in achieving this which include utilizing radio and television..
