Fading Marketplaces:Luen Wo Hui in Fanling, two generations in a market
In Hong Kong, Luen Wo Hui in Fanling, which is far away from the MTR station. Although people cannot get there easily,numerous of people usually visit there for having some local snacks at weekends, and it is also the only reason that people visit Luen Wo Hui. The reason that Luen Wo Hui is only famous for food is the center of the Luen Wo Hui has changed in 2001. All of the small shop tenants had to move from the Luen Wo market (old market) to the complex (new market). In this episode, we interviewed some shop owners, people wholive nearby and two post 90s ladies who live near Luen Wo Hui since they were small, so that the ups and downs of the market can be discovered from two different generations’ viewpoints.
