Omni Gloomy

Examining the gloomy and sad experiences of refugees from yesterday up to present day, the film "Omni Gloomy" depicts the basic problems of asylum-seekers on our common earth. The implications around people who need a new home after exile or exodus due to several possible sociological reasons and/or individual reactions are given in the form of a 6-minute, experimental video essay. With special emphasis on the reasons for displacement, "Omni Gloomy" focuses on different examples throughout world history, while also legitimizing today`s modern attitude of constructing nations. On the one hand, we have historical denominators; on the other, the truly sad stories of millions since genesis.
