Kevin began his career through self taught experimentation and curiosity. He started with a VHS recorder for creating his first "still cartoon" at eleven years old. That continued and brought him to film school at the New York Film Academy where he made short films and afterwards continued working on live action films. Being inspired by Takashi Murakami and other artists Kevin then tried to expand his animations into fine art pieces realizing they could stand alone as finished works. Through them he uses colorful design to punctuate philosophical ideas around character creation. A narrative for his characters is not always necessary but sometimes used in exploring the idea of relationships. Recently he has decided to continue his education through the BFA program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston where he continues to create and expand on new and old works.
Just a thought creating thought.
