Velvet Karma
Mistaking an open window for an invitation, two mischievous girls, (Bailey Noble "True Blood", Emily Mest "The Malibu Tapes") break into Jeweler Tarina Tarantino's downtown showroom. Together, they embark on a fashion-mocking adventure, poking fun at style-obsessed Millenials, bloggers and, of course, at pretentious fashion films. In the end however, their antics come to halt when they attempt to steal a statement necklace. Karma has never been this fun.

Born in Nicaragua, Director Alfonso Campos came to Los Angeles as a child after his country's savage civil war. He credits early American and European cinema as vehicles that helped him escape the uncertainties of war, and in turn influencing a future passion for making films. He has written and directed fashion short films and commercial campaigns for Tarina Tarantino , Sephora and Paul Mitchell. In 2006 he directed his first fashion film, the highly stylized “Hollywood Wonderland” starring Illeana Douglas. Many of the campaigns that he's created for Tarina Tarantino are cinematic storybooks and are accompanied by mini-docu-style behind the scenes videos. “Tokyo Hardcore” starring AFI frontman, Davey Havok; about a rock star, a beautiful robot, and an obsessed transgender fan seeking fame and love at all cost. The following year he wrote and directed a branded episodic internet series about fashion espionage called Biba, starring Nestor Carbonell and Dominik Garcia-Lorido, followed by the making of “My Pretty”, a re-interpretation of “The Wizard of Oz” for a fashion collaboration featuring Tarina Tarantino and Warner Bros. It starred Debbie Mazar and Kelly Osbourne.
