You Are Not Alone

My film is set in the environment issue of Beijing, China nowadays, but it is a story about the humanity and the society other than addressing an environmental problem.

Hope is a beautiful lie. However, it is still one of the best things in life. We used to believe many wonderful things told by the society, just like the girl in my film, trusting what was told by her sister on the screen. Nevertheless, when we try our best to pursue our hope, it is different from what it has been told. They told us to work hard for a better environment, but they provided us with fake news report. They told us to fight for freedom, but they sent tanks to block our way. The lonely girl in my film made her dream come true, at the cost of her life, finally found out that her hope was a lie. Nonetheless, she was not alone anymore.

Although hope is a lie, we cannot live without hope. We need to think about it when we find out the truth. The environment issue of Beijing is not a simple environmental problem. The pursuit of our hope and dreams is not an easy joinery can be achieved only by enthusiasm. It is not wise to stand against the tanks alone, but it makes more sense than doing nothing. I cannot give the perfect solution by making such a short film. I can only give my point. If you are cheated by the best things in life, you are not alone.
