Hold My Hand

Families and children enjoy a nice day at the park. One kid stands away from the rest, Amanda (13). She looks on at everyone wishing her life were different. Wishing she was able to join then. Out of nowhere a man (Reynolds) violently grabs Amanda and drags her off to a car waiting in the parking lot. She pleads, but he tosses her into the backseat of the car with a man she doesn't know. Reluctantly she does what she's ordered to do and service the man.

Ben (our anti-hero) finds himself at the adult bookstore once again. Despite how hard he tries, he is unable to climax while looking at live women. Frustrated, he storms out of the video booth and makes his way to the front register. Trying to be inconspicuous, he slides the cashier some money and in exchange the cashier slides him a blank DVD. Once home, Ben makes his way to him computer, plops in the DVD- its child porn. He achieves climax almost instantly. Immediately after he is overcome with regret, pain, and embarrassment. Once more Ben has lost his struggle to rid himself of his addiction. His pain is evident.

Amanda is dropped off with another client who is more than eager to be with her. She finds a way to distract him and is able to escape. Ben is returning home from the grocery store. As he is cruising down the street, he slams on the brakes- nearly hitting Amanda. Out of breath she jumps into his car and pleads for him to leave. In his rear view mirror he sees Reynolds giving chase on foot with a gun in his hand. He speeds off.

Ben soon learns of Amanda situation. She makes him an offer he can't refuse, "help me and I will be all yours, no one will ever have to know..." Ben is torn. Should he help the little girl or take advantage of the situation. He allows her to stay, but against his better judgment. Amanda has been a prostitute for so long that she doesn't remember what it's like to be a little girl. She leaves the bathroom door open when she showers. Ben's heart races. Never before has he ever seen a real naked little girl before let alone touched one, but he wants to. He approaches the door. With each step his heart beats harder and harder. Just as he reaches the door there's a knock at the front door. Amanda closes the door, not knowing Ben was just outside trying to look in. Ben and Amanda go on a rollercoaster ride of emotion and events. Each moment Ben must restrain himself and his urges to help Amanda. Reynolds doesn't help as he is constantly on their trail. He will stop at nothing to get Amanda back. He can't afford for her to be free. Ben locates one of Amanda's family members and reaches out for help; but is unaware the help he may receive may not be what he wants. Will Ben succeed in helping Amanda break free of her abusive pimp? Will he be able to suppress his urges long enough to help her or will they get the best of him? Will Amanda ever find a family/a place to "belong?" Only time will tell.
