I grew up always watching cartoons and drawing small comics, but it wasn't until late high school that I realized I could make that a career option. I studied film, and took multiple art classes in highschool, trying to prepare myself for college, and make up for some lost time. I wanted to be an animator very badly, but my art skills were not at the level they needed to be. I ended up majoring in illustration where I developed the art skills i needed, to begin developing an animated short. Four years passed, and i developed this short. It's something I've wanted to do for a very long time, I put everything I had learned over those past four years into the film. I hope to continue my path into making more animations, and to share them with the world one day.
With the film, I hoped to accomplish something that had never been done before at my school, a 2D character animated short. Most films produced at my college are required to be 3D animation. Because i majored in the right area, I was able to go through with what I was hoping for and make something that felt unique. The film took all of my time over the last year of school, and used multiple programs to bring it all to life. I utilized all of the knowledge I had learned, and put all of my hard work together. It's a piece I'm very happy to have worked on.
