In 2009, InFocus Film Works (then InFocus Entertainment) started as a small production company in the heart of New York City whose goal was to express cinema in a unique way. The company was started by producer and film-maker Rafael D. Ortiz in order to brand his vision and style. IFW music videos vary in genre from Reggaeton to Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, rock and pop. We have collaborated with well known music industry producers such as Theo Brown, CEO of D-Up Entertainment, Cano Cataño, and well known artists such as Tego Calderon, Tito El Bambino, Plan B and Fabolous to name a few.
IFW quickly expanded its portfolio to include documentaries, live performances, short films, couture fashion and commercial videos. We have worked with well known fashion designers such as Elena Vasilevsky, Ana Segura of A.S. Intimates, Valerie Blanchard of Paradise Bikini, Ann Nahari, Foxxy Face Couture and Domino Couture. IFW has also shot at the 2012 & 2013 New York Couture Fashion Week as well as the 2013 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. We have also collaborated with Bravura Magazine & Idoll Magazine as lead cinematographers.
In February 2013, InFocus Film Works covered 7 days at the Academy Awards "The Oscars” in California. Footage consisted of daily events including recording interviews with make up artists and movie directors. We had the pleasure of meeting directors for movies such as “The Hobbit”, "Les Miserables” and “Hitchcock”. While in California we also had the privilege of working with "The Salon Guy" on shooting an interview with the screenplay adaptation writer, David Magee, for "The Life of Pi".
InFocus Film Works has some great plans ahead and is continuing its expansion with films, music and fashion.
