Director Biography - Karl Florisse

Born in the French West Indies, I flew to Paris (2004) after my graduation in Art and Graphic Design in order to start over and become a Movie Director. My dream was, and still is, to do what Michael Mann, Truffaut, Kurozawa, Coppola, Lucas, Cameron and many more did. And not less than that!

During 13 years in Paris I grew in the Audiovisual world :
I was (trained as and became) PA then Location Manager on short films and music videos, led my own personal video company (corporate, fashion, Arty..), served every week as an Event Multicam Director and Videographer for Hillsong Church Paris, worked as an Assistant Editor, Attended 6 times the Festival de Cannes's movie market, did some Acting Jobs, worked on my Feature Film Projects, was trained as a TV Movie Director, Wrote and Directed 4 Short Films.

The field where I grew the most is in fact myself. God saved my life, rebuilt me from A to Z, and made me the man I am today. A Leader with a Servant's Heart.

Ultimately I received the vision to go (2015) and make it in Hollywood. I pitch movies to studios like DreamWorks, Sony or Crunchyroll... Projects like THE GREAT HAWK (Near Future Combat -Fantasy & Drama ), The Sky City (High School Sci-Fi Adventure), Racing Gas (Cyberpunk Racing & Drama), The Haunted House (Fantasy Comedy & Love Story)...

I am searching for new ways to make Cinema move forward. I think about existing concepts like Hybrid Cinema or Live Cinema and other ideas with specificities that are still needed to be found. Like Stanley Kubrick (and the masters before him) who wanted to create a new "cinematographic language" with 2001 The Space Odyssey, I want to push our beloved medium into new horizons. Create groundbreaking projects (TV Shows, Features...) that will touch the Minds and Hearts of many.
