1. Introduction
The “3in1 Film Fest – shorts, very shorts and making of’s”, is organized by the Associação Alentejo e Ribatejo Film Commission (ARFC) in partnership with the Municipal Council of Almeirim.
The festival is aimed at short films, dividing them into 7 categories: very short fiction (up to 3’); fiction shorts up to 30’; short documentaries up to 30’; animation up to 30’; making of’s up to 30 minutes; video clips up to 5' and school shorts up to 30'.
The “3in1 Film Fest” will take place at Cine Teatro de Almeirim, on the 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th of November 2024, with the following objectives: to promote the dissemination of short films and making of films, enhancing and promoting new values in the movie theater; promote Ribatejo as a filming location; promote the exchange of experiences between national and international participants in the festival; promote Almeirim; strengthen regional community ties, promoting integration into a national identity open to the international community; offer a quality alternative cultural initiative;
2. Admission conditions
2.1. Short films of up to 30', very short films of up to 3', video clips of up to 5' and making of videos of up to 30' produced after January 2023, which have not been shown on television or commercial circuits, even if available, are admitted to the competition. on the Web; Film submissions do not discriminate against themes, genders, ethnicities or religions.
2.2. Candidate films must be submitted through the FilmFreeway platform, in one of the following categories: fiction shorts, documentary shorts, very short fiction films, animation shorts, making of films, video clips and school shorts; Registration must take place between April 5th and July 15th, and there will be a free registration period (earlybeard deadline) between April 5th and 15th; between April 16th and June 21st the regular registration fee will apply, and between June 22nd and July 15th the late registration fee will apply.
2.3. Candidates must attach the requested materials when registering.
3. Registration
3.1. Each author can submit more than one film, in the same or different categories. The same film cannot be submitted in more than one category, under penalty of the organization choosing the entry category.
3.2. Regular registration (regular deadline) will have a fee of €8 for very short films and making of films, €10 for video clips, €12.50 for short films (fiction, animation and documentary) and €6 for short films School.
3.3. Late registration will have a fee of €10 for very short films and making of films, €12 for video clips, €15 for short films (fiction, animation and documentary) and €6 for School shorts.
3.4. Films and materials sent to “3in1 Film Fest” will not be returned and will become part of the festival archive.
3.5. The organization is not responsible for spelling errors or incorrect information included in the application. The titles and names of the directors used in the promotional materials will be the same as those indicated in the application.
3.6. Registration, through FilmFreeway, implies authorization to show the film in public presentations during the festival.
3.7. The festival's Selection Committee selects the works in competition and informs competitors of its decision by August 6th.
3.8. The organization is not obliged to communicate the reason/reasons for not selecting a film for the competition.
3.9. The films selected for the competition will be viewed and classified by the Jury, until September 20th.
3.10. Among the films selected for the competition there will be an Official Selection of films to be shown at the festival. This is the Official Selection, which will be communicated to competitors by October 10th.
3.11. From among the films in the Official Selection, the Jury will nominate the 5 (five) best films per category, which will be the films Nominated for an Award (Nominees).
3.12. Among the films nominated by category, prizes will be awarded to the top 3 classified, by category.
3.13. “3in1 Film Fest” is not obliged to pay screening fees, and candidates acknowledge this situation when submitting their application.
4. Display formats
4.1. Copies for exhibition must be sent by October 30, 2024. The festival accepts the following formats for exhibition: DCP, H264 MP4 or MOV, 1080p.
4.2. Screening copies that are not spoken in English must have English subtitles, either embedded or in an srt file.
4.3. All directors of selected films will be entitled to two accreditations with full access to the festival.
4.4. The organization does not offer support or reimbursement for travel, accommodation and food to any member of the technical or artistic team of the selected films. Candidates acknowledge this situation at the time of submission.
5. Prizes
5.1. A first, second and third prize will be awarded in each of the 7 categories:
• Fiction short
• Short Documentary
• Very short fiction
• Animated short
• Making of
• Music Video
• School short
5.2. A prize will be awarded to the film chosen by the Festival Director; The Cidade de Almeirim prize will be awarded to the film selected by the present public.
5.3. A prize will be awarded to the best Portuguese film (regardless of the category);
5.4. The prizes consist of a trophy and a certificate presented at the prize award session. If no one from the team of a winning film is present to receive the prize, it will be made available for a period of one year.
5.5. There will be a jury made up of a panel of 18 individuals of recognized merit for their contribution to the development of cinema, culture or society in general.
5.6. The jury will not award ex-aequo prizes.
6. Promotion:
6.1. A copy of the selected films will form part of the Festival's collection, with the organization committing not to use them for commercial purposes, with the exception of Festival promotion actions.
7. Final provisions
7.1. All possible doubts and omissions in this regulation will be resolved by the organization according to rules of equity and common sense.
7.2. Registration at the “3in1 Film Fest” reflects full and unreserved acceptance of the terms of this regulation.

REGULAMENTO da 6ª Edição
1.Introdução
O “3in1 Film Fest – curtas, muito curtas e making of’s”, é organizado pela Associação Alentejo e Ribatejo Film Commission (ARFC) em parceria com a Câmara Municipal de Almeirim.
O festival é direccionado para curtas-metragens, dividindo-as em 7 categorias: muito curtas de ficção (até 3’); curtas de ficção até 30’; curtas documentários até 30’; animação até 30’; making of’s até 30 minutos; videoclips até 5’ e curtas de escolas até 30’.
O “3in1 Film Fest” terá lugar no Cine Teatro de Almeirim, nos dias 21, 22, 23 e 24 de Novembro de 2024, com os seguintes objectivos: promover a divulgação de curta-metragens e making of’s, potenciando e promovendo novos valores no cinema; promover o Ribatejo como local de filmagens; promover o intercâmbio de experiências entre os participantes nacionais e internacionais no festival; promover Almeirim; reforçar os laços de comunidade regional, promovendo a integração numa identidade nacional aberta à comunidade internacional; oferecer uma iniciativa cultural alternativa de qualidade;
2.Condições de admissão
2.1. São admitidos a competição curtas de até 30’, muito curtas de até 3’, videoclips de até 5’ e making of’s de até 30’ produzidos depois de Janeiro de 2023, que não tenham sido exibidos em televisão nem circuitos comerciais, ainda que disponíveis na Web; as submissões de filmes não descriminam temas, géneros, etnias, religiões.
2.2. Os filmes candidatos devem ser submetidos através da plataforma FilmFreeway, numa das seguintes categorias: curtas de ficção, curtas documentários, muito curtas de ficção, curtas de animação, making of’s, vídeos de música e curtas de escola; as inscrições devem acontecer entre 05 de Abril e 15 de Julho, sendo que haverá um período de inscrições free (earlybeard deadline) entre 5 e 15 de Abril; entre 16 de Abril e 21 de Junho aplica-se a taxa de inscrição regular (regular deadline), e entre 22 de Junho e 15 de Julho será aplicada a taxa para inscrições tardias (late deadline).
2.3. Os candidatos devem anexar os materiais solicitados aquando da inscrição.
3.Inscrições
3.1. Cada autor pode inscrever mais do que um filme. O mesmo filme não pode ser submetido em mais que uma categoria, sob pena da organização escolher a categoria de inscrição.
3.2. A inscrição regular (regular deadline) terá uma taxa de 8€ para as muito curtas e making ofs, 10€ para os videoclips, de 12,50€ para as curtas (ficção, animação e documentário) e de 6€ para as curtas de Escola.
3.3. A inscrição tardia (late deadline) terá uma taxa de 10€ para as muito curtas e making ofs, 12€ para os videoclips, de 15€ para as curtas (ficção, animação e documentário) e de 6€ para as curtas de Escola.
3.4. Os filmes e materiais enviados para o “3in1 Film Fest” não serão devolvidos e farão parte do arquivo do festival.
3.5. A organização não é responsável por erros ortográficos ou informação errada que seja incluída na candidatura. Os títulos e nomes dos realizadores usados nos materiais promocionais serão os mesmos que nos forem indicados na candidatura.
3.6. A inscrição, através da FilmFreeway, implica a autorização para a exibição do filme em apresentações públicas durante o festival.
3.7. A comissão de Selecção do festival procede à selecção das obras a concurso e informa da sua decisão os concorrentes até ao dia 6 de Agosto.
3.8. A organização não é obrigada a comunicar a razão/razões para a não selecção de um filme a concurso.
3.9. Os filmes seleccionados a concurso serão visionados e classificados pelo Júri, até ao dia 20 de Setembro.
3.10. De entre os filmes seleccionados a concurso haverá uma Selecção Oficial de filmes para exibição no festival. Trata-se da Selecção Oficial, a qual será comunicada aos concorrentes até ao dia 10 de Outubro.
3.11. De entre os filmes da Selecção Oficial, o Júri nomeará os 5 (cinco) melhores filmes por categoria, que serão os filmes Nomeados a prémio (Nomeados).
3.12. De entre os filmes Nomeados por categoria, serão atribuidos prémios aos 3 primeiros classificados, por categoria.
3.13. O “3in1 Film Fest” não é obrigado a pagar taxas de exibição, sendo que os candidatos reconhecem esta situação aquando da submissão da candidatura.
4.Formatos de exibição
4.1. As cópias para exibição deverão ser enviadas até 30 de Outubro de 2024. O festival aceita os seguintes formatos para exibição: DCP, H264 MP4 ou MOV, 1080p.
4.2. As cópias de exibição que não sejam faladas em inglês devem ter legendas em inglês, embutidas ou em ficheiro srt.
4.3. Todos os realizadores dos filmes seleccionados terão direito a duas acreditações com acesso total ao festival.
4.4. A organização não oferece apoio ou reembolso de viagens, alojamento e alimentação a qualquer membro da equipa técnica ou artística dos filmes selecionados. Os candidatos reconhecem esta situação aquando da submissão.
5.Prémios
5.1.Serão atribuídos um primeiro, um segundo e um terceiro prémios, em cada uma das 7 categorias:
• Curta de ficção
• Curta Documentário
• Muito curta de ficção
• Curta de animação
• Making of’s
• Videoclip
• Curtas de escola
5.2. Será atribuído um prémio ao filme escolhido pelo director do festival; será atribuído o prémio Cidade de Almeirim ao filme seleccionado pelo público presente.
5.3. Será atribuído um prémio ao melhor filme português (independentemente da categoria);
5.4. Os prémios são constituídos por um troféu e um certificado entregues na sessão de atribuição de prémios. Para o caso de não estar presente ninguém da equipa de um filme ganhador para receber o prémio, o mesmo será disponibilizado pelo período de um ano.
5.5. Haverá um júri constituído por um painel de 18 individualidades de reconhecido mérito pela sua contribuição para o desenvolvimento do cinema, da cultura ou da sociedade em geral.
5.6. O júri não atribuirá prémios ex-aequo.
6.Promoção:
6.1. Uma cópia dos filmes selecionados fará parte do espólio do Festival, comprometendo-se a organização a não os utilizar com fins comerciais, com excepção de acções de promoção do Festival.
7.Disposições finais
7.1. Todas as eventuais dúvidas e omissões deste regulamento serão resolvidas pela organização segundo regras de equidade e bom senso.
7.2. A inscrição no “3in1 Film Fest” traduz a total aceitação e sem reservas dos termos deste regulamento.
