Writer Biography - Robert Wooldridge Jr.

In 2004, while working on an independent film project, Robert Wooldridge met noted script doctor Linda Seger. From there Robert found the inspiration to begin working on the stories he had been mulling around. The first notable script was A HITCH IN THE PLAN (a detective enlists the help of a film buff to solve the case of a killer mimicking Hitchcock movies). A HITCH IN THE PLAN went on to win Breaking Walls Thriller Contest in July 2014.
Robert’s next script NATE OF AMERICA (a young foster boy runs away in search of his family only to end up in Las Vegas where a drag queen takes him under her wing) won the Gold Prize for Best Drama in the World Series of Screenwriting Competition in 2013. It also went on to place as a Screenplay Festival Comedy Finalist and Cynosure Quarterfinalist, and in the Emerging Screenwriters top 100.
In November 2014, Robert won 2nd Place in the One-In-Ten Screenplay Contest for THE BOAT. Shortly after, THE BOAT also placed as a semifinalist in the Storypros International Competition, Fresh Voices, and The Screenplay Festival, and a Finalist in the Richmond International Film Festival.
