INTO THE MOUNTAIN

A-Hui decided to commit suicide after losing his wife in an accident. He brought a relic of his wife, and determined to fulfill his promise of taking her up to the top of a mountain. On his way up, he bumped into a high school girl - Hsin who wanted to threaten her father with her own life, and a Native Taiwanese young man - Hao who was hunting. At the end of this journey, A-Hui was prepared to embrace his own death. However, he found out Hao was the person who witnessed his wife’s last breath. A-Hui seemed to found a way to say good-bye to his wife…

Chuang Shiang-An was born in 1987 in Taichung, Taiwan. He is a student studying film directing in the Department of Filmmaking of Taipei National University of the Arts.

Life is like a climbing up a mountain, we are all travelers heading toward our final destination. Meaning and goals are constantly changing during this long journey, but we will not realize it before we reach to the top. Or perhaps the end is not the end, after all, we are just slowing down our steps.
