The Mute Call

'Kos' or 'The Mute Call' is a simple story about the exploitation of man. It attempts to show how ‘power' functions in our society by following the daily life of a middle class Indian boy. The film has no dialogues and is a pure juxtaposition of images and sound to convey the ideas and emotions. It is a metaphorical exploration of the same concept with the use of an asynchronous soundscape and formalist film design. The film shows how the system destroys the organic nature of life. The film has various symbolic references to political ideologies and its meaning is based in associations between images and sound.
