Sailaab-Overflow of Drugs

An ordeal of a frustrated young man, broke with poverty, who gets embroiled in drug world. Very soon he finds himself on the road of no return. As he gets sucked up into this blackhole, he transforms into a petty thief and then a criminal. A bizarre turn of events force him to join hands with the perpetrators of drug mafia. All hell breaks lose when he accidentally stumbles upon the evil plan of his masters and thus awakening his conscience. Now he faces the biggest dilemma of his life. How he deals with it forms the crux of this movie.
'SAILAAB' is a short film on drug menace in Punjab, the land of five rivers. Directed by Rajesh Kapoor, it is a realistic, true, artistic and gripping portrayal of origin and rise of drug tentacles which have engulfed the large and ever increasing number of people, especially the youth.
It is quite pertinent to mention that in addition to administrative measures, this film also stresses upon the unfailing remedy of winning the mass support of the people, especially the younger generation, and their mass resistance to curb the menace.
