Lauryn Iverson is a recent graduate from the CU school of Media and Communications. She's worked on indie projects including a pilot for comedian, Adam Ferrara, 2 short films with IvyFam and multiple CU Theater productions. Her main focus centers on Assistant Directing, handling the logistics and on-set management of productions.
Like "The Walking Dead", relationships are a key factor in my films. In the case of "3", the love triangle between Viola, Duke and Olive is only exacerbated by Vampirism, a common dark side to this lore. The story line is also centered around the works of Shakespeare (character names and the love triangle approach) and Jean Paul Sartre's "No Exit." By focusing on the emotionality and relationships between 3 close friends, the horror aspect and the fact that multiple actors represent the LGBTQ+ community are simply givens in the story. The music featured in the film was written from 1988-1989 by the high school band, The Catherine Wheel, from Aurora. Many of the songs were co-written and performed by my father, Kurt Iverson. After the passing of The Catherine Wheel's lead singer, Edgar Anolin, the remaining band members and friends were looking for opportunities to highlight the imaginative lyrics of Ed and Macgregor Tiegen. This was a perfect opportunity to highlight the talents of these CU actors and music directly from the New Wave era of the 80's.
