LUDWIG'S TAPE
The austrian philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951) and his passion for cinema, architecture, vegetarian food, scotch tape and changing the view from your hotel room windows. Last but not least his love for young men. We see a man and hear a voice, obviously irish. So who is it we are looking at and who is it we are listening to? LUDWIG’S TAPE got an itchy quality, an extraordinary rhythm in editing and a certain erotic that is hard to describe. An artistic mixture of “art” and documentary material? So we observe the man while doing ordinary things of daily life, and we are listening to passionate words not only of love, but also of loneliness. And the joy of it.
