Beat The Bully
Beat The Bully centers around Lily (Anna Schiff), a pre-teen attending an all girls NYC prep school who repeatedly tries to defend herself against the meanest girls in the class. After trying all the old-time bully-deflecting methods, she finds a method of her own. The dark comedy offers strategies for standing up against bullies in a light and upbeat way, “Its not about the pain of bullying, its about how you can defend yourself,” said Annabel Ruddle writer/director.
Writer/director Annabel Ruddle delivers a thought-provoking, relevant, coming of age story that is a delightful, heart wrenching mash up of Mean Girls, Gossip Girl, and Groundhog Day. Intelligent and earnest, Beat The Bully is an empowering tale of the journey to maintain one’s individuality amidst oppression.
