Randwick Council and UNSW have teamed up to create a short film competition that is open to all UNSW students.

What's the brief?
We want you to tell a 30-second story about Randwick that is meaningful, provocative, beautiful, inspiring and moving, featuring the people and/or the locations of Randwick.

The winning entry will be used to promote living in Randwick and Randwick City Council. It will be screened before all Sydney Film Festival films at the Randwick Ritz and before five films screened in Sydney Central locations.

Entry deadline is 6:00pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time), Friday 13 April 2018. Films submitted after 6:00pm will not be accepted.

The winning 30 second film will be played before all Sydney Film Festival screenings at the Randwick Ritz and at 5 screenings in Sydney Central.

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

• You must be a student of UNSW to enter this competition.
• Films must be no longer than 30 secs and must include Randwick City Council logo and UNSW logo.
• The film’s first public screening must be at Sydney Film Festival. Please no social media before this time.
• The film must be made specifically for the for the 30 Seconds to Randwick Short Film Competition
• The film can only be shot within Randwick City LGA

TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Film should be submitted in the following formats:
• Compression – ProRes 422 HQ File, ProRes 422 File is our second preference, H264 is our third
• Aspect Ratio - 1920x1080 (full HD)
• File Format - .mov
• Framerate - Preferably 24 or 25fps. If your file is neither, please provide us with the native framerate.

• 30 Seconds to Randwick will inform in writing (email) if the Film has been accepted or not accepted into 30 Seconds to Randwick. 30 Seconds to Randwick’s decision as to whether a Film has met all Acceptance Criteria is final and not subject to any appeal for reconsideration.

• Any Film not accepted for inclusion into 30 Seconds to Randwick shall not be used by 30 Seconds to Randwick for any purpose after the evaluation for Acceptance Criteria concludes.

ENTRY PROCESS
Student filmmakers entering Films into 30 Seconds to Randwick must:
• Agree to abide by these 30 Seconds to Randwick Terms and Conditions;
• Complete the entry form by clicking on the Submit Now button, above.
• Upload the Film correctly via the FilmFreeway website by 6:00pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time), Friday 13 April 2018. Films submitted after 6:00pm will not be accepted.
• 30 Seconds to Randwick accepts no responsibility for any Entry Form or Film that is submitted after the deadline or not uploaded correctly or is otherwise damaged.
