Three very close friends meet with different sponsors to shoot their movies. None of the sponsors agree to help them. So Bulut, one of the friends of this group, gets an extraordinary idea. They start to make that idea come true. However, there is an obstacle waiting for them.

Director Biography - Nilsu Albayrak

Nilsu 2000 yılında İstanbul'da doğdu. 2022 yılında “3-1=3” adlı kısa filmini çekti. Kendisi, Boğaziçi Üniversitesi’nde 2018 yılında başlamış olduğu eğitimine devam etmektedir.
Nilsu was born in 2000 in Istanbul. In 2022, she shot her
short film “3-1=3”. She continues her education at Boğaziçi University, which she started in 2018.

3-1=3 rakamlarla alakalı bir film. Özellikle hayatımız boyunca bilmeye maruz bırakıldığımız bazı rakamlar…
Hayallerindeki filmi çekmek isteyenler için bir fikir ve biraz da desteğin yeterli olabileceğini; yönetmen olmak için bir yaş sınırının olmadığını anlatmak istediğim bir başlangıç, bu film. Her şeyden belki de daha çok; anlaşılmayı, anlaşıldığını hissetmeyi; çektiği zorlukların, var oluş sancılarının ve kendini gerçekleştirme yolunda çoğu zaman yıkılan hayallerinin beyazperdeye yansımasını isteyenler için atılmış bir adım, 3-1=3. Belki de bir gün sonucun 2 ettiğini bir yerlerde görmek isteyenler için. Benim, ekibim ve bütün gençler için.

3-1=3 is a movie about numbers. Especially some numbers that we are exposed to knowing throughout our lives…
This movie shows that an idea and a little support may be enough for those who want to shoot the movie of their dreams. I want to tell young people that there is no age limit to be whatever they wish to be and there is no necessity to wait until they get old and experienced. This movie is there, more than anything, to support the ones who feel like they cannot be understood fully ever. We are all here; me, "3-1=3", my crew, and all the young people here and there for one another.
