‘2D & 3D Animation Film Festival’ is an international festival for animated short films founded by film director Giuseppe Rossi and sponsored by Rotaract Club Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi Hirpinia Goleto and Rotaract District 2100, Italy. Due to the spread of Covid-19 this edition will take place online in virtual cinema on June 15, 2020 at 9pm (GMT +1); the festival will do also live screenings on June 20 in the beautiful location of the Abbey of San Guglielmo al Goleto, Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, Italy.
The short films competitive categories are:
-2D & 3D Animation
-2D Animation (for traditional hand-drawn and Flash animation);
-3D Animation (for computer animation);
-Live Action & Animation;
-HYDRO (for animated shorts about water and ocean issues);
-AEQUO (for animated shorts about women and equal opportunities);
-DIGI-BITES (for animated shorts about internet, social networks and digital security)
-Best 2D & 3D Animated Short Film
-Best 2D Animated Short Film
-Best 3D Animated Short Film
-Best Live Action & Animation Short Film
-Best Stop-Motion Animated Short Film
(Special awards could be assigned)
We accept short films of any genre, theme and country made with 2D animation (hand-drawn and Flash), 3D animation, live action with animated characters and stop motion, except of the themed categories HYDRO, AEQUO and DIGI-BITES. We do not accept 3D stereoscopic films at the moment.
Short Films must be 12 minutes maximum.
Submissions are free. Deadline to submit is on June 3, 2020.
Any language is accepted, but if dialogues are not in English or Italian, subtitles in English or Italian are required.
By submitting your film, you are allowing the festival to screen the film, promote the film with the elements at our disposal, publish that information on our website, and to use the elements listed on your submission in any manner useful to run the festival. You must be legit regarding all the necessary rights including music rights appearing in your film.
Films can be submitted via FilmFreeway, or by providing us the Dropbox URL for download, or by sending us a link to the film on Vimeo (if password protected you must provide the password), or by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
For the screening of the film at the festival it is required
-a Full HD .mp4 or .mov file;
-at least two 1920 x 1080 JPG or PNG still images from the film;
-a brief biography of the filmmaker;
-If possible, a brief text about the making of the film (softwares used, techniques etc..) or behind the scene pictures and videos.
