Cosmo M. Soltani is a writer, director, producer and educator. Soltani creates narrative and documentary films and has screened their work in festivals nationally and internationally. Soltani has also been involved in curating, programming and consulting for production companies and film festivals around the globe. Soltani was the recipient of Director’s Guild of America (DGA) Frankenheimer Fellowship for Best Directing and was awarded the USC Lambda Association LGBTQI Awareness Prize for their film Of Truth A Canvas. As an Iranian-American, queer, immigrant storyteller, Soltani’s work is informed by the intersections of their identities and communities.
Soltani completed an MFA in Film & TV Production from University of Southern California in 2014 and currently resides in Los Angeles.
