#26 CONTAINING GREAT POWER
Traditional symbols for the I CHING’s #26 are hand or mountain (stopping) and head or heaven; aka, the “creative”.
In #26 describes the stillness of “mountain” bears down on an expanding energy like the wildness of animals or “heaven”- ly skies.
Some animals, such as antelope, cannot be tamed. The horse, however, has been tamed through the hand that bridles the animal's power; thus domesticating it.
Animal husbandry was an early interpretation of this energy force that “contains the power of the great,” as when one collects oneself; assembling inner and outer strength to face the world.
The double screen horses present colors I’ve chosen for its deeper, nuclear hexagram of thunder over lake: the red-violet and bright green.
