Cyrina Fiallo is a Cuban-Italian actress, born & raised in Miami, Florida. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has appeared in many popular shows, including CBS’s Rush Hour, NBC’s Community, Fox’s Glee, CW’s Supernatural, FX’s Married, and Disney’s Good Luck Charlie, to name a few. She has also appeared in more than 60 national commercials, in English & Spanish.
Cyrina is also a writer & producer, and has numerous projects in development, including work with fellow actress/writer, Natalie Morales. Most recently, Cyrina teamed up with actress and director Elizabeth Banks to create Cosmopolitan's first digital series Temporary which she wrote and stars in.
Cyrina was last seen in the Amazon pilot, “Budding Prospects”, directed by Terry Zwigoff and can be seen later this year in the indie drama, “Gosnell”, directed by Nick Searcy. She will also recur in the series, “Startup”, on Crackle.
“25” draws on the experiences of Wigan-born actress Amber Hodgkiss (Hollyoaks, Grange Hill) and Southport’s own Charlotte Rothwell (BAFTA-Los Angeles' Newcomer of the Year 2013).
A 5-minute slice of life examining the impassible uncomfortability that comes with the transition into adulthood, “25” was devised from an honest oceanside conversation about Amber & Charlotte’s struggle with their launch into womanhood, and combined with Charlotte’s own personal battle with a fear of the ocean following the death of a loved one. In its untamable and beautiful glory, the ocean serves as a metaphor of uncharted territory and opportunity.
Written, produced, and directed by women, “25” was brought to life with director Cyrina Fiallo and executive producer, Mary Kenny. Fiallo has appeared as an actor in CBS’s Rush Hour, NBC’s Community, Fox’s Glee and over 60 national commercials. With extensive experience in front of the camera, she intuitively transitions into the role of director, co-writer, and producer. Kenny, a graduate of UNC Charlotte, previously served as consulting producer for EndemolShine/YouTube Red’s “Keys of Christmas.”
Due to scheduling, “25” was written, shot, and edited in under 2 weeks, with a meager budget of $250. Motivated by a tight deadline and a determination to collaborate on a project together, “25” sets a precedent for this team of ambitious filmmakers moving forward.
