24/2
On February 24, 2022, a pivotal moment shattered the lives of Russians and Ukrainians, marking a distinct before and after. "24/2" is a short film that delves into the lives of four Russian female artists who were situated in Saint Petersburg during this transformative period. As the narrative unfolds, it reveals the tightening grip of the state on artistic expression in Russia and the changes in art practices that these women have been experiencing. Through their compelling stories, the film explores the theme of forced immigration as an act of rebellion against the oppressive regime, as well as the challenges of continuing artistic careers in new cultural contexts. "24/2" serves as a powerful reflection on the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity, offering a glimpse into the intersection of art, politics, and personal sacrifice.
