2222
The year is 2222. Hundreds of years ago, our ancestors selfishly destroyed our planet. Now, our world is desolate and dry. Our species is quickly dying off, with only small groups of us remaining dispersed around the world. We are THE LOST. Forced to fight each other for the little water we have left, scattered around in small patches called OASES. Our lives are a constant battle for SURVIVAL.

My name is Andrew Bonaldo. My story with film begins all the way back in 2006, with the release of the first Cars film. It was the first film I had ever seen in theatres before, it was an amazing experience and left me with a good memory, of throwing up next to my dad's car after the film had ended. Since then I have been obsessed with films and wanted to someday make my own.
It wasn't until high school, when I took my first video production class, that I realized that filmmaking was the career path I wanted to take. Throughout high school, I would make my own videos, narrative, music, and just-for-fun videos, and fell in love with it.
When it came time to go to college I decided I wanted to study film production at Arizona State University. This is where I fell in love with filmmaking and storytelling all over again. I was able to imagine my own narrative stories and create ambitious projects.
Now I look to the future and aim to make my mark on the film industry and the world.
This project represents many things to me.
It represents the year and a half in which my crew and I worked effortlessly to make this film come to life. It represents a vision of a possible future for our civilization, one in which we are left to fight for survival against the consequences of our actions. But most importantly, it represents what a group of people can accomplish when they truly believe in something and put their all into it. Anything is possible when people come together to accomplish a common goal.
Though the journey to complete this film wasn't easy, we managed to make sure that what we made, in the end, was something we could all be proud of and that inspires others. I think we accomplished that and more. With this film I wanted to go big or go home, and boy did we go big, bigger than my wildest expectations. None of this could have happened without the hard work and dedication of everyone who helped me in this once-in-a-lifetime project. So shoutout to everyone who helped make this film, the cast, the crew, the ones who donated, the professors, and the people of the dunes.
I hope you enjoy my senior Capstone project 2222, thank you so much for watching, and let's build a better future. Thank you all.
