Director Biography - James Fong

Award Winning Singaporean Actor and Filmmaker

James has been in the media industry since 2012 and has been actively involved in a number of TV shows, films, commercials, youtube and other online videos. Over the years he managed to have most of his self-directed films featured across well known online video platforms such as Viddsee, HOOQ and others across Asia and also nominations and awards across various film competitions.
In 2015 , He was one of the four Singaporeans selected and given a contract by Mediacorp to produce a series of videos for Channel 5 TV programme known as Tube.
Some of his recent achievements include Best Actor Award by National Youth Film Awards(2018) which the film was later chosen as 1 of the 10 films of the year to be featured in HOOQ, a video on demand streaming service which is a joint-venture of Sony Pictures, Warner Bros., and Singtel, and also Best Cinematography Award by Sony Content Creators Collective(2019).
He is also 1 of the 3 commissioned film director for Shine Youth Festival organised by Scape and National Youth Council(2019).
In March 2020, his film was the top 3 in Singapore and top 20 in Asia Pacific for the inaugural Huawei Film Awards.
