The APM Short Screenplay Competition creates opportunities for screenwriters around the globe to get their short screenplay PRODUCED, made into a movie and SEEN by audiences and industry professionals all over the world! Our goal is to discover and promote the original works and talents of emerging screenwriters by making their scripts into films that get audiences talking.

APM Short Screenplay Competition is not the usually screenwriting competition, but a door to opportunity, as we are now searching for a best short script to produce. To do this we have enlisted the help of industry insiders, award winning directors, producers, professional writers and high-profile actors to read and select.

Writers can submit short film scripts only, a category open to all genres. We are open to receive submissions in the following languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, Romanian, although if you are making a submission in any other language than English you should also include an English translation of your script as a standard. We will not be able to consider submissions not backed by an English translation.

This competition is opened to SHORT FILIM SCRIPTS - Up to 30 pages (between 8-15 is recommended).

Avanti Productions & Management is dedicated to creating some of the world’s most original and exciting, mind-bending, visually stunning and brilliantly written independent films and we want you to be a part of the journey and the magic.

9.Short screenplays should be no more than 30 pages (8-15 pages recommended) and in standard specifications screenplay format. If the script is shorter or longer, it will not be disqualified. This is simply a guideline to consider as it relates to general industry preference. *We strongly encourage writers to register their work with the Writers Guild of America (WGA). As the world leader in online screenplay registration, the WGAW represents writers in the motion picture, broadcast, cable and new media industries. Registration is available to anyone worldwide. 14.Submissions must be transmitted electronically on or before the Early, Official, Late or Final entry deadline, and the entry fee paid in order to qualify for the respective submission rate. Online entries may be submitted up until midnight London time on the final deadline date. Any entries submitted or payments received after the final deadline will be disqualified.
