The film takes a look at the blues scene through the artists that live it and gives the audience a unique and personal perspective on the world of blues.

Director Biography - Charles Konowal

Charles Konowal began his filmmaking career with the award winning animation production SCHIZOPHRENIC SUPERMAN in the mid 70’s and has been working as a cinematographer, director and producer on numerous award winning films for the National Film Board of Canada like the off beat documentary THE DEFENDER, the feature length documentary FAT CHANCE, which won a Peabody Award and GLIMMER OF HOPE, a one hour documentary on restorative justice. He has also worked with the IMAX Corporation as producer of the first Imax Magic Carpet production, FLOWERS IN THE SKY for the Osaka, Japan 1990 Garden and Greenery Expo.

I started working on documentaries on the music scene a few years ago and as each film reaches completion, I can't wait for the next one to start. The musicians passion for the music is infectious.
