Fading Marketplaces:Dawn Market in Tin Shui Wai, a market formed by neighborhood

In Hong Kong, from the past ten years to now, Dawn Market in Tin Shui Wai opens at 5a.m. to 10 a.m. every day. Almost 100 street hawkers are peddling there. In Dawn market, the daily necessities selling there are cheaper than those selling in shopping mall. People live nearby can buy what they need and also chit chat with each other. They formed a unique market atmosphere indeed.
Moreover, residents in Tin Shui Wai describe that malls in Tin Shui Wai are all owned by Cheung Kong Limited and The Link (the large financial groups in Hong Kong). While people cannot afford high rent of shops and the inflation, the market just suits what people actually need.
