Director Biography - Scott A. Capestany

Selected to "pitch" his first Feature Film project at the Variety Magazine Purpose Faith Based Film Summit, American Film Market and West Coast Film Finance Summit, Scott captivated the media, audience and panelists with his magical tale "My Silent Voice" that led him to a variety industry interest in his extraordinary writing skills.

Scott has been a ceeative writing and media gues at many world wide film industry events, Scott's messages, workshops and leadership has helped empower, inspire and educate both veteran and emerging Filmmakers in the 21st century.

He has Written and Directed work that has screened at Film Festivals, Cable TV Networks and around the world on various digital Web platforms. Commercial clients he has worked with include Hilton and Marriott

Scott has a life long appreciation for films that expand and enhance the world view regarding topics and events that inspire, encourage and promote well being and unity. His devotion and passion in creating children's programming is at the forefront of his endeavors.

Scott's work in the non-commercial sector has garnered him a prestigious Regional Community TV Award for "Best Web-series" regarding his project HARBOR ISLAND. He has garnered multiple nominations, "pitch finalist" selections, film festival appointments and special recognition media write ups and awards.

His literary works includes Children TV Series, Adventure, Documentaries, Voice Overs, Family Films and Engaging stories that captivate his audiences universally around the world.

Rounding out his natural gifts, Scott also is a well respected Actor and TV Host personality having appeared in commercials around the world.

Scott is an avid adventurer that enjoys fly-fishing, camping/hiking, photography and working with global organizations whose mission objectives involve youth and adult empowerment, civil rights and education through visual media. His passion to help the voices of these organizations to be heard through his art is a big part of his creativity.

Director Statement

Harbor Island was created to develop into the first ever National Missing Children's TV/Web series designed to bring awareness to the national topic and also to help re-create actual cases in hopes to re-connect missing and exploited children with their friends and families. This Film Short (pilot episode) screened at multiple film Festivals and caught the eye of the MECA organization. The series is being developed and further that could involve 50 United State "Missing Children" Ambassadors representing each state in association with the National production highlighting a short story of a local missing child in each of these regions.
