URBAN ENVY
Winning can sometimes become losing, when the prize you’ve won belongs to someone else. That’s Envy, the sin of wanting something that belongs to someone else. But what if you don’t know it’s off limits?
Marcus Drapier is a regular guy with a regular life, until he wins a local dance competition. Beating out the 5 time reigning champion Harvey Jackson, wasn’t such a hard task to do. Harvey happened to get himself disqualified from the competition.
Marcus allowed himself for a split second to get distracted by the spot light and lost his longtime girlfriend and dance partner Patricia Pettis to slip into the hands of another man, Harvey Jackson. Since Harvey couldn’t have his title, he wanted something that belonged to someone else. When the opportunity came along, he swooped in like a hawk and took advantage of a broken dove.
Meanwhile Harvey’s cousin Lenny, the big business man/gangsta/drug dealer that Detroit has to offer is on the hunt for the guy that’s sleeping around with his girlfriend of two years. The problem is no one knows anything. So the jealousy in him drives him crazy. He starts to assault any one she’s been in contact with.
Marcus does not know that his new girlfriend just happens to be Lenny’s girl Shanice. Their worlds will collide and there will be tense and suspense series of events that will lead them to an all-world confrontation. Envy is everywhere, even if you can’t see it. And it always shows its ugly little face
