JAYWALKER

At the age of nine, jaywalking became a reality for Jimmy. A journey through the lens of good versus evil, outside the lines of religion. To touch, hear, smell, taste, see, to Jaywalk. Relive experiences with the cast of Jaywalker as they share their journey outside the lines. Humanity demands diversity, Jaywalker defines it...unscripted.
Shellshock is a word I would use to describe the effects of war on a persons mind. Hellshock is a word I would use to describe the effects of religion on a persons mind. Together they create a disability, one that impairs ones ability to think for themselves. Jaywalker delivers a cast of people from different stages of recovery.

Director Statement

Twenty-two years ago I embarked on a journey to disconnect myself from religiosity and the burden of the knowledge of Good and Evil. Along the way I have met scores of people that share the same journey.
The making of Jaywalker was a forging of that journey with a particular person... Jimmy. Jaywalker was an idea formed in his mind over the course of his lifetime running from religion and hiding from the "Ghosts of Religions Past". I approached Jimmy about filming what he had thought would become a book and he agreed.
I have been involved with filmmaking over the years in many ways, but nothing like this.
Jaywalker is 100% unscripted and could not be any other way. "I cannot direct what has already happened", Jimmy agreed and we continued for the next year and a half to form this documentary that explains the journey of being disconnected from religion not spirituality. Facing the fears of Heaven or Hell, Good or Evil... realizing that the fairy tail painted by religion at an early age for generations of young children is only a nightmare.
When a Jaywalker wakes up from this experience and accepts that revelation, there is no turning back. The excitement of knowing that we are spiritual beings not bound by religiosity but connected to one another by our ability to accept and be accepted has motivated many people and with hopes of Jaywalker infecting many more.
I want to personally thank you for considering a part of my life. I have invested thought into people and desire for them to understand the importance of acceptance in diversity and our differences... the pressure of religion has worn a gap in generations just as history repeats itself by our inabilty to forgive ourselves. However, we should hold fast to the notion that God forgets. Imagine that? Let us forget and be free from EVIL , free from GOOD and live the sense of being a JAYWALKER.
