Where is my tent?

A film for us who live, loose and rediscover.

While searching for a tent which he donated to the survivors of a heavy earthquake in Northern Pakistan, filmmaker Zubin Sethna and his travel companion Alexander Wadouh reside with the people of the small Pakistani town "Balakot". This site was completely destroyed by the disaster. As they share the everyday life with the residents of Balakot, they encounter their strengths and believes in their challenge to recreate a routine. These insights enable the two guests to face their personal issues in a new light and develope themselves as well. They explore a deeper understanding for loss, life and the tent within.
A film which connects, interweaves and leads into the open.
Seen from a very personal point-of-view, they get a rather unfiltered, non-posed and non-brightened access to a different world, which images are far off the common media about Pakistan.

travellog entry:
"Somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Northern Pakistan:
I find myself back in a village named Balakot. Never heard of it? Me neither. It has been devastated by an earthquake two years earlier. So, why am I here? I try to find a tent which I miss. It is strange, because I never possessed it in the first place. I have only donated the money for it for the survivors of the earthquake. Do I really miss an object made of sheets and strings or is it a home I search? Where is it and and how can I miss it, actually?
Being partly German and partly Indian, I've started this journey with a friend to trace the tent. However, the search runs into a dead end and it seems I have lost it forever. As we reside with the people here at site – who have lost so much due to the earthquake– we discover the deeper meanings of loss, life and reconnecting and rediscover the tent in a very different form."

A film for us who live, loose and rediscover.

There are enough forces who try to turn difference into excluding confrontations. If we look at the common factors of being human, we can celebrate those adversities as diversities which makes mankind so colorful and sensible.
