The Parallel
Peter Kesro is a surveillance researcher from the US, who left his position at a highly decorated facility back home to pursue his project of reflective surveillance, and pitch it to as many institutions as possible to fund his project. Now working at a different institution in Australia alongside another researcher, Bridgette, they barely convince their supervisor to fund their extensive research. As they develop the system, a number of unseen anomalies arise which causes a major accident.

Born in 1991, in Sydney Australia, Phillip Nashed grew up in the Hill's Shire, where he attended Hills Grammar for 3 years and moved to The Kings School, where he completed his Primary, Secondary and Senior School. It is during his time at King's where his talent and interest in acting was tapped into by his mentors John Haigh, Michael Terzo and Adam Moulds. By the time he reached Yr 12 in 2008, Phillip's Talent gained him a nomination for the Board of Studies showcase event 'On-Stage'. This event would select the top 2-5% of HSC submissions of individual and group performances. Phillip was selected for his individual piece 'Prisoner of Second Avenue' by Neil Simon. From 2009-2014, Phillip completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Architecture from The University of Technology, Sydney. Soon after finishing university, Phillip was trying to develop an idea in which to merge his love for storytelling, and architecture into one. This led him on the path of film making, and eventually the idea for THE PARALLEL. Ultimately the idea would be to visualise an array of almost impossible architectural phenomena on the big screen, coupled with a compelling narrative to ground the broader concepts. This short film is the genesis of what Phillip hopes to further pursue his complex development of THE PARALLEL story.
