The gap between the salary on average and soaring cost is a contemporary issue in Taiwan. People reckon the need to engage with this issue, because it not only has an influence on material circumstances, but also closely associated with spiritual experiences of people. Those Homes Unaffordable outlines this background, and it further represents the parent-child relationship, love, work, people and space, and family values, which are also universal topics in a modern as well as urban family. People might still believe that the material goods are indispensible. But, do they really believe so when these topics are absent in a family?
