I think Hitler’s death is not anymore a taboo, we have seen it realistically depicted (THE DOWNFALL) or ironically (INGLORIOUS BASTARDS), but never so fictionally real (!). Everything, in this script, is so plausible, the escape ( I’d like to remember that about 100 prisoners have escaped from concentration camps), Fritz and Irina through Germany reduced to a pile of rubble, and finally the Hitler’s death. Everything appears so natural as to seem real so that no one can remain unmoved.
