Director Biography - Bernadette Chapman

Bernadette Chapman (writer/director) has been involved with television and film production since her days as a Saluki at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (R/TV ’84). After graduation from college she moved to Washington, DC and worked in production with Home Team Sports, Westinghouse, WWF, as well as many other free-lance gigs. While living in Baltimore she began perusing her love of acting by taking classes with Barry Feinstein. The Strasberg Method has become her favorite approach to acting and directing. She continues to take classes, working on her craft.

After several years of acting/production hiatus in Birmingham, Alabama, she turned her attention back to acting and producing, when her dear friend, Larry Holden, asked her and her daughter to be a part of his film All Suns & Little White Flowers. This experience in 2007 opened her up to the world of independent filmmaking. She has since been apart of over thirty productions on film (two as writer/director) and the stage.
