While hiding as a prostitute from her murderous aristocratic uncle in Trieste, 1912, a beautiful young runaway finds herself in the company of James Joyce, Egon Schiele, Rainer Rilke, Sigmund Freud, and Lou Salome on the cusp of their greatest achievements. Writer Ben Hanah has been a psychologist for thirty years with a private practice in Northern California. His script about Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, “Keeper of Sheep,” was a First Round Qualifier in the 2008 Filmmakers International Screenwriting Awards. His current projects include a script about the friendship between Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels and adapting his novel Trio (2010) into a screenplay.
