I got You A Balloon
A boy brings a girl a balloon. Not because he feels he needs to, just because he thought she should be given the joy of a balloon. He inadvertently brings this joy to all the people who really deserve it, the people who understand it is simple everyday kindnesses that make this world worth living in.

Katie Fournell has lived and breathed the arts from a very young age. Upon completion of her Degree from the Red Deer College acting program, where she performed in shows such as Treasure Island and helped in many student film projects, she moved to Vancouver for two years. There she performed in both theatre and film until finally deciding to try her hand at producing and directing. She has since moved back to Alberta and is excited to see what comes next!
When I first set about writing "I Got You a Balloon" it was because of a simple idea. The idea that getting someone a gift just because, even better a gift that is small and seemingly insignificant, is in actual fact not insignificant at all. Thus the idea grew. I took on the role of director and producer so I could be sure the story I had created captured the message I think we all needed to be reminded of: There is kindness in the world and it is apparent in every smile at a stranger, every good deed, and every time we are made better by other people’s happiness. I truly believe "I Got You a Balloon" reinforces this idea and will help each person who sees the film to look around and see it in others. So, I Got You a Balloon.
