16 Rachels Season 2 (Episode 1)
This is episode 1 of 16 episodes.
Planet Earth was purchased by one of the wealthiest mining companies in the universe—forcing the entire human race to migrate elsewhere in the cosmos. Emotionally intelligent androids were hired to facilitate mass exodus and prepare Earth for demolition. A lone employee, Joon, stays behind to manage demolition code synthesized within Earth’s water molecules. This mysterious process reveals a cache of video diaries by sixteen women with the same name.

Keaton Smith is a multi-media artist and filmmaker from Louisiana.
His debut feature film, The Story of Christopher Jenkins, was a LIVE "expanded cinematic performance" at SXSW 2014. His subsequent projects have remained experimental in form while working almost exclusively within the sci-fi genre. His short films (Engram, Abbygail Was Here, Three Point Dynamics) have screened at festivals such as: SXSW, Fantasia, Nightmares Film Fest, New Orleans Film Festival, Boston Underground, NoBudge, etc...His latest project, 16 Rachels, is a sci-fi docu-series about sixteen women all named Rachel.
I completed season 1 of 16 Rachels in 2015. I started working on Season 2 in 2020 with some returning cast members. I am fascinated with the "imaginary line" between documentary and fiction. My ultimate goal is to follow the lives of these women over the course of a lifetime.
