It's crucial to protest and to stand up for your beliefs. Everybody does it in their own way. For some people the protest is not a single act. It's a way of living. They are the Protest themselves.
"I am Protest" is a short documentary movie about the alternative forms of riot. For the characters in it it's not enough only to be on the streets. They change themselves every single day. Because they know that in this way they really change the world...

tanas Kutsev graduated bachelor in Journalism in 2013 in the Faculty of Journalism and Mass communication, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Bulgaria.
He is a freelance documentary and travel photographer and filmmaker. His first own photo exhibition called "Between Nirvana and Samsara" (photographs from Nepal and India) took place in Sofia in June 2014. His travel book of the same name with stories from the 3-month trip was issued in 2015.
He has also been part of several documentary projects, such as: "Europe: A Roma Homeland", "125" – a documentary series on Sofia University's history, etc. He participated in the Beyond Your World program – working on photo stories and a short documentary on development and globalisation in Cabo Verde, West Africa. He was also part of a field trip work with indigenous people in West Thailand, organised by MRG International.
His documentary “I am Protest” has won the Jury’s Prize of V Film Festival "In the Lens", Asenovgrad 2015, and has been part of the official selection of several international film festivals.
