Director Biography - Thomas Birdeno

Thomas Birdeno graduated from the University of Kansas, receiving a Bachelor of General Studies degree in English - Creative Writing with a minor in Theatre. Thomas has always been captivated by film and its history, and had received training in acting, stage production, and special effects make-up before pursuing a writing degree from KU. Afterwards, he wrote comedy for a political satire website (The Altalena Report) before teaching Screenwriting at Hutchinson Community College. He has received several notable awards for his written work including the Diamond Homer Trophy and the Brosseau Creativity Award. Thomas co-founded Staircase Studios and works closely with Blue Barn Productions.

Growing up watching British comedies on PBS in the early 90s, I wanted to make a British comedy.
