Director Biography - Jonathan Nolan

Time Traveller is an ongoing series that reflects all the fascinations and fannish interests I have had through my life so far. I want to make a personal project that has wider appeal.

I have had a lifelong fascination with Forteana, 19th century fiction, the flipside of science and the classical forms of science fiction and fantasy.

I am also a scholar of Philip K. Dick, and maintain the Zombienomicon interactive fiction site dedicated to PKD, his works, and his weltanschauung.

Director Statement

Time Traveller (tm) is a shot on location stop motion web series about H.G. Wells' Time Traveller in a quantum entanglement mess of his own making. He is yet to realize how deeply devastated the cosmos is after he unleasehs qubits and bits at random as he crusades to undo past mistakes.

THE BLOOD OF TYRANTS is overtly conventional, a grace note sounded in a series that predominantly deals with the Law of Unforeseen Consequences on a truly epic scale.

Time Traveller deliberately opts for quite crude animation as a means to use physical sets and props and a truly bafflingly large array of toys, wargame miniatures and other specially built tiny props to create a universe of adventure and intrigue.

In some respects the Time Traveller series is an audio drama with moving images as an accompaniment.

Undoubtedly the technical side of the series will continue to improve but I stand by every second of the show as it has been released. It's part of the fun!
