Director Statement

The Story of Alice in Wonderland, written by Alix Sharp is a story involving a series of true events surrounding the mental illness called Alice and Wonderland Syndrome. This really spoke to me and I wanted to take it on as Director/Writer. It felt near to my heart because all of us at one time or another have experienced a loss of control and mental instability. This is especially true while being sleep deprived, which the main character Amber experiences throughout out the film. Through her delirium, her mind takes her down to a dark places and euphoric adventures. I wanted to create vivid on screen hallucinations, while making the unreal, real.
