Lead Poisoning

I was searching YouTube's creative commons library for a spoken word poem for a film I was working on called PIPELINE, about the school to prison pipeline, when I came across Korryn's poem "The Vampire Theory".
I was so taken with what was now the opening of my film I set out to find Korryn and ask her if she'd be interested in working with me on a project. That's when I learned about August 1, 2016. I have not been able to get this young lady out of my mind since. To date this is the most insightful article I have read on this young womans life.
