The residents of the Excelsior Gardens Retirement Community have a lot going on - sex, drugs, vaudeville routines and taxidermy. And while this intrigues its newest guest, Gen, she feels she has great adventures yet to be. With the help of Cookie and her granddaughter Marty, Gen plans The Grey Escape.

Kim Turner is a writer and a graduate of the Conservatory at Second City in Chicago. Additionally, she studied writing at iO and the Annoyance Theater.
Her screenplay, It Goes Like This (formerly Christy’s Got Cancer!) was one of twelve works selected out of 3500 entries for the inaugural Meryl Streep Screenwriters’ Lab in 2015 (and the only
comedy!). Christy’s was also a quarterfinalist at the Sundance Screenwriters’ Lab (2010), a Second Rounder at the Austin Film Fest (2016) and remained in the Top Twenty for comedies on The Black List for 2016.
Kim resides in New Orleans and daily tests the physiological limits for human caffeine ingestion.
